Frequently Asked Questions
What is a lash lift?
We use your own natural lashes to create a beautiful curl. This process involves the use of silicone shields, lash lift glue, lifting and setting lotions and tint. We place silicone shields on your eyelids and glue your lashes evenly onto the rod. We apply a lifting lotion to your lashes to make the hair bonds pliable. We then use a setting lotion to re-structure your hair bonds, resulting in a perfectly even curl.
We finish off with a beautiful tint that highlights your eyes and makes them glow. We recommend our Crave Lash Lift & Tint/Precision Brows Combo for lashes & brows that truly complement each other.
How long does a lash lift last?
Your lashes will be lifted for 6-7 weeks with little to no maintenance and no need for mascara. However; If you want a thicker, volumized look that really stands out, mascara looks beautiful on lifted lashes.
What is the aftercare?
We ask that you wait 24 hours to get your lashes wet or put anything near or on them. This is a low maintenance service; however please avoid the following:
- If you like to swim, make sure to wear goggles if you are getting your lashes wet. This is based on the possibility that the chlorine could decrease the duration of the lift.
- Try to sleep on your back for the first 24 hours as your lashes are impressionable within this time frame.
- Try to avoid oil based removers as they can decrease the duration of your lift
How often should I get a lash lift & tint?
We recommend coming in every 6-8 weeks as a general rule. Some people have lashes that do not shed as quickly so their lashes will stay longer. Some people may need an elevated lifting time if their lashes drop at the 5 week mark. We work together to figure out the perfect time to get your lashes lifted regularly.
Are there any side effects?
To be a true lash lift artist you need to be educated in the principals of hairdressing and eye anatomy. We take this very seriously and have not experienced any issues with irritation. In rare cases an individual can have a tape sensitivity or existing allergy which we discuss on your health form. We do not continue with performing this service if we do not feel it is safe.
We use a high quality, cruelty free line that is very safe as long as it is performed correctly by the technician.
Over-curling can be a possible side effect of a lift & tint that is not performed correctly. Because we have been providing this service since 2019 we have our own detailed process that prevents over processing.
Because every client has a different hair structure we develop based on lash strength and length. When your lifting and setting serums are almost done processing we do a flex and set check. We check one or two lashes to see if they are processed enough. If we feel they are perfect we take the solutions off. If they need more processing we leave the solutions on longer. In some cases; if someone has strong, thin or curly lashes, we lift and wait 24 hours to see if more is needed. If the developing time is perfect we update this is in your chart. If we need to add more we have you come back in as part of the price. We note the additional processing time in your chart. This way when you come back your have your own curated custom lash lift time.
We keep your lashes safe by moving methodically.
