Microneedling is a natural, minimally invasive skin resurfacing service. Tiny micro injuries are created which stimulates your body’s natural repair mechanisms, increasing collagen and elastin for smoother, healthier, and rejuvenated skin.
At Crave Aesthetics London Ontario we offer this service with our health Canada approved pen. We use single use cartridges, targeted skincare, and healing hyaluronic acid to nourish your skin.

How does the process work?
We start by cleansing and toning your skin. We then put on numbing cream. This sits for 30 minutes. After this time has passed we wipe off any excess cream. We then secure a single use cartridge in our pen. We cover the whole devise with a single use protective sheild. We choose the correct needle depth depending on the area of your skin we are needling. We then use our Microneedling pen to create microscopic wounds with tiny sterilized needles.
The pen vibrates in order to penetrate the skin These small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heals and resurfaces your skin, causing skin to look younger and smooth. We perform three passes on the skin in order to make sure we cover all areas. We then follow up with the appropriate skincare and healing treatment.
You are given hyaluronic acid and aftercare to continue healing.
Does microneedling hurt?
We use a topical numbing cream that stays on the skin for 25-30 minutes before the procedure to minimize any pain. When Microneedling we use different needle depths for different sections of the skin; taking into consideration sensitivity, pain tolerance and the effectiveness of the depth level. If you are experiencing any pain we adjust the depth and add more numbing cream if needed after each pass of the Microneedling pen.
This method of collagen induction therapy is very well tolerated. We base this on our clients and on ourselves as we too use Microneedling for anti-aging.
How long does it take to see the benefits?
Your skin has a cell turnover cycle which is around 28 days. You will start seeing changes after about a week but the full result can be seen around this 28 day mark.
How many treatments are needed?
In order to see full benefits at least 3 treatments are needed. Those with skin concerns such as acne scarring may need anywhere from 3-6 treatments.
How long does microneedling take to heal?
Microneedling is a very effective collagen building procedure that is natural and offers low down time; enabling you to go back to work and regular activities within a short period of time.
Most clients will see redness dissipate by the evening/next morning and possible light flaking. Those with sensitive skin may experience redness for 1-2 days but this is rare.
For optimal healing It is important to protect your skin and provide it with as much moisture as possible. We provide you with Hyaluronic Acid which will be applied the night of and for the next few days. Within the next 1-2 days you will follow a gentle skincare routine which we discuss together. We provide after care kits that are designed for gentle skin healing and nourishment.
